UK gasoline pump sales slip lower again
Quantum Commodity Intelligence - Pump sales of gasoline in Great Britain failed to bounce back last week, edging lower again for the third week in a row, while diesel sales were also static week-on-week, leaving both road fuels 7% below levels seen before the first lockdown in March 2020, according to UK government data.
The average daily sales of gasoline at a filling station dropped a smidgen to 6,790 litres over the week to June 20, down 24 litres from a week earlier.
This followed losses of 146 litres a day over the week to June 14 and 156 litres a day over the week to June 7.
Pump sales of diesel were 9,661 litres a day on average at a filling station, about the same as a week earlier, and still lower than volumes in the week to May 23.
The survey by the UK department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy sampled data from 4,500 filling stations.
