STOCKS DATA: Fujairah mid dist build wiped out by residual, light end draw
Quantum Commodity Intelligence - A significant build in middle distillate stocks in Fujairah last week was only enough to partially offset big draws in residual and light end stocks, weekly stocks data showed.
Data from FEDCom and S&P Global Commodity Insights published Wednesday showed light ends leading the way lower in the week to 21 September, dropping 12% week-on-week as the 890,000-barrel decrease left inventories at an eight-week low of 6.475 million barrels.
Residual fuel stocks at the bunkering hub were 6% lower at 12.548 million barrels, with the 850,000-barrel drop leaving stocks at a two-week low.
Middle distillates went the other way, gaining 11% over the week and hitting a three-week high of 2.985 million barrels.
Total inventories were down 6% over the week, with the 1.44-million-barrel decrease taking inventories to a two-week low of 22.008 million barrels.
