Retail sales of diesel and gasoline drop in Great Britain

London (Quantum Commodity Intelligence) - Pump sales of diesel and gasoline in Great Britain dropped last week amid the Bank Holiday in England and Wales, data from the UK government shows.
Filling stations in England, Scotland and Wales sold an average of 9,020 litres of diesel and 6,230 litres of gasoline a day over the week to May 9.
The combined road fuel average of 15,250 litres a day was 6.5% down from the previous week, the first reversal of road fuel sales this year.
Road fuel sales achieved 92% of pre-Covid 19 levels in the week to May 2, but this percentage dropped to 86% over the week to May 9.
Between January and March 2020, before the first lockdown, filling stations in Greta Britain sold an average of 17,690 litres a day.
