20 May 2021
London, (Quantum Commodity Intelligence) – Imports of crude oil into India flatlined in April at 18.3 million mt (4.45 million bpd), marginally higher than in March, but a chunky 10% higher than a year ago, data from the India Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell.
The figures compare with 16.55 million mt imported in April 2020.
Oil imports are expected to fall in May after the country cut refinery runs due to lower demand for transport fuels.
