Global hydrocracking capacity to increase 28% between 2020 and 2025, finds report
Quantum Commodity Intelligence - Global refinery hydrocracking capacity will increase 3,250 million bpd between 2020 and 2025, according to a new study.
Capacity will increase from 11,683 million bpd in 2020 to 14,934 million bpd in 2025, the study by ReportLinker claims.
Worldwide hydrocracking capacity increased 1,287 million bpd between 2015 and 2020, the report added.
The US, China, India, Russia, and Canada accounted for 54.9 percent of the total global hydrocracking unit capacity in 2020.
A hydrocracker upgrades low-quality heavy gas oils from the atmospheric or vacuum distillation tower, the fluid catalytic cracker, and the coking units into jet fuel, diesel, and gasoline.
