CANADA DATA: Pipeline crude exports up 3% in May, stocks down 2%

Quantum Commodity Intelligence – Canada's exports of crude oil via pipeline rose 3.3% on the month to 3.24 million barrels per day (bpd) in May, according to Statistics Canada data released Tuesday.

The figure was up 10% on the year though, with equivalent exports in May 2020 only 2.94 bpd.

Meanwhile, crude oil stocks dropped 2.4% in May to 96.32 million barrels, while products stocks gained 1% to 10.64 million barrels.

This left crude and products inventories up 2.7% and down 4.4% on the year, respectively.
